On July 5, 2023, the Kevin Karius Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by Prism Flow Products, will kick off at the Belvedere Golf and Country Club in Sherwood Park. Teams of four (4) participants plus one celebrity (five-some) will gather to tee off in support of a great cause, Easter Seals Alberta.

Registration to participate in this exciting event is $350 or $1,300 for a team of 4 which includes a Super Ticket for all fundraising draws and 3 mulligans, continental breakfast, 18-holes of golf on a private course, power golf cart, driving range/putting green, buffet dinner and silent/live auction. There are also many sponsored beverage and food holes, so you are guaranteed to go home neither hungry nor thirsty.

Easter Seals Alberta’s mission is to provide services that foster inclusion, independence and recreation for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. For over 70 years, they have grown, adapted and enhanced their services based on the community’s needs, government consultations, and feedback from people with disabilities. Easter Seals Alberta achieves its mission through four main programs; Accessibility Supports, Easter Seals Camp Horizon, Virtual Programs and Easter Seals McQueen Home.

EASTER SEALS CAMP HORIZON provides year-round inclusive recreation experiences for people of all ages. Camp offers a unique opportunity for campers to build self-esteem and independence. Activities challenge their mind and body while creating lasting friendships and lifelong memories.

ACCESSIBILITY SUPPORTS aims to provide critically needed equipment and support to those who qualify physically and financially. This program allows individuals with disabilities to live more independently, whether receiving a piece of mobility equipment that gets them to the grocery store and medical appointments or a scholarship that allows them to pursue their post-secondary dreams and goals.

EASTER SEALS MCQUEEN HOME is a nine-bedroom home in Edmonton for individuals with a disability who, due to their high personal care needs, would be unable to live independently without support. The knowledgeable and caring medical staff at McQueen support the residents in connecting and actively participating in their community, attending courses, working part-time, and spending time with their family and friends.

VIRTUAL PROGRAMS create human connections in an inclusive environment. Expanding on the fun we have at camp, virtual program participants enjoy the skill development and friendships built at camp from the safety of their homes.
