Who Let The Dogs Golf? Tournament supporting Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue

May 29 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Bring your dog and join us for the FIRST ever “Who Let the Dogs Golf?!” Tournament, hosted by Daintre Christensen, Global Edmonton

Have you ever wanted to bring your furry friend for a round of golf?!

On Monday, May 29th, the FIRST ever “Who Let The Dogs Golf?” Tournament, presented by Summerside Vet Hospital, will take place where twosomes and foursomes get to bring their furry pooch to take part in a 9-Hole Texas Scramble tournament. We will have 72 golfers and 36 dogs who will tee off in support of the Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau. https://www.albertahomewardhound.com/

Daintre Christensen of Global Edmonton is a strong supporter of this important non-profit rescue bureau, and she will be the Tournament Host.

Registration to participate in this unique event is $300 for a twosome and one dog or $600 for a foursome with two pooches. The registration fee includes 9-holes of golf, power golf cart/pull cart, driving range/putting green, buffet lunch, silent auction items on each hole and a pooch gift bag filled with lots of treats and doggy items.

We also have many amazing ways to get more involved through our sponsorship opportunities. For more details, press the “Get Tickets” button or visit the website www.pep-events.ca.

HELP US SUPPORT DOGS THAT ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME!

Rescue is about the animals, always, but it is also about the people.

The AHHRB volunteer base spans across Sherwood Park, Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Camrose, Tofield & Edmonton.

As a foster home based organization, this means all of our in-care canines are placed in a home during their transition while getting ready for yours!

Dogs come into our care from all different backgrounds:

  • Local bylaw agencies where lost dogs have not been claimed are often placed into rescue care
  • When a dog is not a match in a family, we offer an owner surrender program to help find the dog the perfect fit
  • When situations change and an animal cannot stay where they have been living

We know that whatever the circumstance that led these animals to us, they deserve compassion, understanding and as seamless of a transition as possible.

AHHRB was founded on the premise of ‘kindness comes first.’ Your kindness and generous support allows us to continue to save dogs like Marty, Sabine and Davey, who took what life threw at them and not only thrived but learned to love humans again. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to do what we love; saving one dog at a time.
